Because of Siskin, I can create again.
Elliott's room at Siskin Hospital doesn't resemble a typical hospital room. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a vibrant and creative atmosphere. The room is filled with an abundance of gadgets and tools. However, the most important tool is Elliott's heart. You see, Elliott's mission is to not only help other patients but also to inspire and uplift the staff with his creative heart.
While sitting in the hospital bed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, Elliott realized the difficulty of holding his phone due to his body's reaction to the disease. Being an innovator, Elliott saw an opportunity to create a solution. So, he brought in two 3D digital printers and created phone stands. But Elliott didn't stop there. He continued to create in order to inspire others. When creating something for one of his caregivers, he interviews them to ensure that it will be meaningful.
Caring at Siskin Hospital is a two-way street. Many of our patients give us love and care in ways that they may not even realize. Elliott is one of those patients. We want to express our gratitude to Elliot for spreading his creative love to everyone he encounters here at Siskin Hospital and beyond.
