Human Resources Assistant/On-boarding Specialist
Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant/On-boarding Specialist to support our HR department in a wide range of support activities. The ideal candidate will assist in filing, pre-screening applicants, coordinating interviews, answering basic HR questions, managing verification of employment and onboarding associates. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Duties
Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and coordinating with candidates.
Maintain and update employee files.
Support recruiting process by reviewing resumes daily and identifying skilled candidates.
Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting their pre-onboarding appointments both in HR and with Employee Health.
Responds daily to Employee Verification inquiries.
Assist HR personnel with internal and external audits.
Maintain I-9 records and auditing these files annually.
Maintain the badge system in conjunction with security and the information systems team.
Answers the telephone, relays messages, and maintains equipment and supplies.
Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
Requirements
Strong understanding of human resources management principles.
Experience with interviewing techniques and candidate assessment.
Proficiency in Kronos HRIS systems is a plus.
Knowledge of employment labor laws and employee relations practices.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
