Siskin Hospital Celebrates 35th Anniversary
February 2025 marks Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation’s 35th anniversary. Throughout the month, the organization will celebrate the milestone using the theme of “35 Years of Thriving.”
Siskin Hospital is comprised of Tennessee’s largest inpatient physical rehabilitation facility, a skilled nursing facility, six outpatient clinics and the only medically based health club in the Chattanooga area. Starting as the dream of local philanthropists and brothers Mose and Garrison Siskin, Siskin Hospital has grown substantially in both size and capability since opening in 1990.
“I believe our organization has not only met, but exceeded the goals set by the Siskin brothers many years ago, and we are not done yet,” said Matthew Gibson, Ph.D., FACHE, president and CEO of Siskin Hospital.
In 2024, the organization completed two significant construction projects on the main campus located in downtown Chattanooga – a complete renovation of the patient care floors in the inpatient rehabilitation facility, and the first of five planned Healing Gardens, the first of its kind in the Chattanooga area, designed to aid in physical, mental and emotional well-being.
“Siskin Hospital is a truly extraordinary asset for the city of Chattanooga,” said Mayor Tim Kelly, at the Healing Gardens’ grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting in August of 2024.
