Inpatient OTR (Full Time)

As an Inpatient Occupational Therapist at Siskin Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in the rehabilitation process by developing and implementing personalized treatment plans. Your work will directly impact patients' recovery journeys, helping them regain crucial skills and abilities to thrive. You’ll also work closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, communicating effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and their families.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with successful completion of clinical fieldwork.

  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee and ongoing CPR certification. Prior certifications in thermal and electrical modalities for Tennessee will be required.

  • Experience: No experience required — we welcome new graduates eager to learn and grow in the field of occupational therapy.

  • Skills/Competencies: A willingness to continue education, work effectively in both independent and team settings, and accept constructive feedback. Basic computer skills are a plus!

Physical & Mental Demands:

This role requires physical stamina and adaptability, including:

  • The ability to assist with patient mobility and transfers, using therapy equipment as necessary.

  • Engaging in tasks that require physical manipulation and attention to detail during patient treatments.

  • Strong observational skills to monitor patients' condition and respond to their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care by assessing individual needs and developing tailored treatment plans.

  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to guide therapeutic interventions.

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.

  • Support patients in achieving daily living activities (ADLs) and enhancing their functional independence.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
