We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient PT Team. With just one year of experience, you'll have the opportunity to supervise PT and PTA students, provide clinical guidance to PTA's and Technicians, and collaborate with a supportive and dynamic team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and direct appropriate physical therapy evaluations and treatments.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members.

  • Accurately document patient progress and treatment plans.

  • Maintain a professional and ethical approach in accordance with the APTA Code of Ethics and Siskin’s Philosophy of Service.

  • Supervise PT and PTA students and offer mentorship and clinical supervision.

  • Collaborate daily with a diverse team of healthcare providers, patients, families, and visitors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program.

  • Experience: No prior experience required, but a passion for patient care is a must!

  • Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee.

  • Certification: Ongoing CPR certification and passing the annual UDS PI credentialing exam.

  • Skills: Willingness to continue learning, ability to work well with others, and comfort in giving/receiving constructive feedback.

  • Competencies: Minimal computer skills preferred. Physical agility and strong communication skills.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Maneuver patients with varying weights and functional abilities to assist with transfers and mobility activities.

  • Perform physical tasks like patient positioning and equipment setup.

  • Ability to stand, sit, and move in various positions for extended periods.

  • Create a safe and supportive environment for patients, coworkers, and visitors.

Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is dedicated exclusively to physical rehabilitation and offers specialized treatment programs in brain injury, amputation, stroke, spinal cord injury, orthopedics, and major multiple trauma, as well as treatment for neurological disorders and loss of muscle strength and control following illness or surgery.
