Staff Pharmacist - PRN
The team at Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist!
The Pharmacist is responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care and services to patients, physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments while supporting the goals and objectives of the hospital and department. They are also responsible for upholding the ethics of the profession of pharmacy, and adherence to state and federal regulations. Our pharmacists are responsible for meeting identified patient care and hospital needs and will supervise departmental support personnel in absence of the Director. Reports to Pharmacy Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. One-year internship in hospital pharmacy.
Experience:
6 months of hospital pharmacy experience. PGYI Residency in a hospital setting preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Doctor of Pharmacy licensure by the State of Tennessee.
Skills/Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team orientation.
Experience in all areas of pharmaceutical care delivery, purchasing, dispensing, and performance improvement.
Typing/data entry proficiency.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires the ability to receive and process detailed/technical information from a variety of sources and use it effectively in future decision making. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors. The position requires the ability to move about the hospital environment.
